Fred Teague has gone to the extent of selling a profitable business and living as one of the homeless to help tackle the issue of homelessness in his city and transform the lives of those stuck in the cycle. Teague founded the non-profit, The Russ Buss, to provide shelter and supplies to those in the community.
Today, it has grown into a transitional facility that has helped countless get back on their feet–a number who have now gone on to become homeowners, car owners, and business managers. Russ Buss has since expanded, establishing 1 Roof, a non-profit hub that offers services such as free medical care, foster care support, shower and bathroom amenities, food for children when school is not in session, and more.
The large hub was established when Journey Church gifted nearly $3 million equity in its eight-acre site to Russ Buss for the expansion of the Kingdom.
